We had a superior family room and it was exceptional, very spacious 2 rooms with a small corridor and relatively large bathroom. The staff was perfect, very chidren-friendly. The parking is located directly at the back of the hotel: not really big but it was ok for us to park even with our big car. The breakfasts were good. Wifi worked well. Location is good, in a walking distance to Vaticano museums.

Rome is a perfect stay for families and group of friends as well as solo travelers! However, I wouldn't recommend larger groups visiting in the top season - especially not with older people. Getting around Rome is easiest by foot - overcrowded public transport and nervous locals trying to get to work (not blaming them to be honest) isn't adding a good light to the overall atmosphere of the city. Personal tip from me is to plan your trip to Rome well in advance and book entrance tickets to attractions online good 2-3 months in advance if not more - and also make sure of the opening hours of each attraction. Me and my family stayed only for 3 days and it was absolutely not enough to see everything we wanted. I would suggest to make the trip at least 5 days if you want to make the most of it!

Honestly I wouldn't go back, but enjoyed the time with my family seeing the sights. Could have been a long weekend, a week was too much. After being in Florence and Venice it was a bit disappointing overall. Hotels and restaurants were pretty consistently disappointing.

I came around 3rd week of May and it’s already very crowded starting at 10. If you want to check the places quietly and to have good pictures, I recommend to wake up early, especially for Trevi Fountain, Spanish Steps and Pantheon. Rome is very cultural and it’s nice to see the churches especially the facades. Food is also a must try.

Highlights are the Roman ruins, Vatican, Synagogue, Pantheon, Trevi fountain, and historic streests wth all the cafes and restaurants. Staart off with a hop on hop off bus tour. Follow on the map, and once you have your bearings, nowhere is too far to walk. Don't bother with botanical gardens or the Villa Borghese Gardens. Both are poor - the latter appears to be about to be redeveloped, so could be fabulous in a year or two, but currently is mainly grass, and areas which are fenced off and more like a building site

Rome is a fascinating city but very busy with tourists...

Rome is a fascinating city but very busy with tourists around May, the time of our visit. Our B&B “Holiday Home Il Signo a San Pietro” was a perfect base for our group of 5. Just a 500m walk to Cipro Metro station meant you could easily traverse Rome by metro to visit all the attractions. Note that there are enormous queues for the main attractions, so if you want to see any of them close up make sure you book beforehand and expect to be in a queue for hours! Eateries galore but expect to pay a lot for those in the tourist areas. Wander off the beaten track and they become much better priced. Some exceptions are always there: found this small eatery close to Termini Railway Station, which was pumping out great Souvlaki and Biryani to a steady stream of locals. No tourist to be seen! And so cheap! In short: if you’re willing to walk a bit you’ll see a lot of Rome and can avoid the tourists a bit. They actually put a warning sign out for you: the “flagpole” carried by the tourist guide, followed by a mob of “sheep”. Makes it so much easier to steer around!

Delicious restaurants within steps from the door. We definitely recommend for a less hectic experience in Rome with quick access to all of the historical sites. The area had a more neighborhood feel to it that was greatly appreciated. The place itself was comfortable, clean, spacious and nicely appointed. In fact, the bed was the most comfortable bed we slept in since our Italy trip started! Guglielmo was easy to communicate with and recommended some really great food options including gelato. I would absolutely recommend a stay!

Residenza Maritti is a marvelous hotel. I have stayed here perhaps 20 times in the last 7 years or so, whilst living in Italy. It is quite simply one of the nicest places I have ever stayed at. The location is nothing short of spectacular; the staff and owners very kind and helpful; the rooms full of character and history as well as being spotlessly clean; the rooftop terrace has breathtaking views of ancient Rome. When I come to Rome, I always stay at Residenza Maritti. It is a wonderful place to enjoy the Eternal City from.

We stayed at this hotel on the first night arriving in Italy and also our last night. There is a BIG difference in the quality of the two rooms. This particular room was very up to date. BEAUTIFUL! I wished we had gotten this room on our first night! Great location, easy walk from train station! We tried gelato at least 15 times in our 2 week Europe trip, and the Gelato directly across the street from the hotel is the WINNER for the BEST gelato!!! I recommend the amaretto cherries one with the brittle. WOW!!

The location is excellent but unlike many 5 star hotels the staff were fantastic - not at all pretentious or pompous but extremely helpful, polite and very down to earth. We are lucky to have experienced many 5 star hotels around the globe but this is one of the best with great facilities, lovely spa staff and an excellent location too! The bar has an extraordinary manager who spoke super English and was extremely hospitable! We regularly travel to Italy and we will definitely stay here again!

It was the best hotel we stayed in throughout Italy. Hotel Everest Inn - Rome was the best compared to our hotels in Milan, Florence and Naples. The room was a great size for 2 people, bright and clean including the bathroom. The staff at reception, including Ivan were very helpful and friendly and also allowed us to freshen up after we checked out and had to come back for our luggage. We also had free coffee and croissants in the morning. We definately would book this hotel again.

The breakfast was better than all hotels we stayed in Italy. I had fractured my ankle in Florence before arriving to Rome. I was wheelchair bound and The staff was so accommodating and friendly.

The warmth of the staff was exceptional. The location of the hotel just could not be better for those wanting to be at the centre of Rome, Italy and the Universe.

The rooms where nice size. Offered snacks & soft drinks. Felt like a luxury hotel in Italy would.
